HealthPromis is the English national health promotion database; its focus is on health policy, evidence-based health advice, and health promotion. There are some technical difficulties, but the database contains references and links to a wide range of resources, medical databases, books, journal articles, and more. The HealthPromis Thesaurus, available through a link at the bottom of the page, outlines the entire hierarchy of terms by which articles are indexed in the database. Simply locate the topic for which you are searching and then enter it in the search form, which is accessible by clicking the main graphic in the center of the page.

Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, published monthly by the American Society for Microbiology, relates information regarding antimicrobial, antiviral, antiparasitic, and anticancer agents and chemotherapy that appeals to microbiologists, pharmaceutical researchers, biochemists, clinicians, and other specialists working with infectious diseases. Among regular journal sections are chemistry and biosynthesis; mechanisms of action: physiological effects; resistance; susceptibility; biologic response modifiers; experimental therapeutics; and much more. Site allows for easy searching, but provides non-subscribers only article abstracts from more recent issues; articles from January 2001 and before can be viewed in full.
