Adrian graduated in 1983 with First Class Honours in Medicine and a wide variety of undergraduate medical and sporting experiences. Post-graduate experience focussed on Orthopaedics, Trauma and Emergency Medicine.

From 1987 to 1990, Adrian worked as the Chief Medical Officer with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, flying over 1,000 hours and treating hundred of trauma and medical cases. During his time with the Helicopter Service, he also introduced International Retrieval to their capabilities, and became their official Representative to Government Committees, major sporting bodies, Nursing and Ambulance Training Colleges and made numerous television and radio appearances as the "public face" of the Rescue Service.

    Adrian appeared regularly on TV and Radio, and his ability to communicate on a personal level with all walks of life means he is as at home with "ordinary people" as he is with professionals and "experts".

    In 1990 he wrote "Necksafe: the Acute Management of Spinal Injuries" for medical and rescue personal, as well as lecturing locally and Internationally in the areas of Emergency Medicine, Accident Management, Spinal Injury, Medical Media and Communications.

    Awarded a prestigious Churchill Fellowship to study Trauma Management in European Emergency Services in 1989, Adrian was also enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force Specialist Reserve.

    Since 1990, Adrian has been a regular television presenter on Foxtel, firstly on the FX Channel Breakfast Show and most recently as a presenter on the Lifestyle Channel’s "Australian Living" segments. He presents a number of 5 minute segments each month, in a contemporary yet open style and is a well known "people friendly Doctor" to many Australians.

    Other media credits include regular weekly Medical stories on Channel Nine’s Midday Show, writings for numerous popular magazines, segments on national radio and appearances as the in-house medico for popular Channel Ten programmes, "Live It Up" and "Monday to Friday".

    Since 2001 he has hosted his own syndicated medical show in the US called "MedQuest", which has been sold internationally.

    He also runs a Medical Communication Company, MC2, specialising in electronic communication and New Media, which created and hosts the largest medical internet site in Australia, Medical Online (www.medicalonline.com.au)

    In 1986 Adrian founded Immediate Assistants, a successful Medical Risk Management company which provides Medical services to major cooperate events, venues and film/TV productions, as well as extensive nationally accredited training programmes in Pre-Hospital Care, Paramedical Skills, Helicopter Crew Courses, Lifeguard Skills, SCUBA Diving Training, Tactical Emergency Medicine and Corporate Resource Management.

    Clients include CBS Television’s smash hit "Survivor" (4 seasons), Multisport Adventure Races such as Eco-Challenge (5 years) and the Mild Seven Outdoor Quest, Oceanman International Surf Lifesaving Competition, Uncle Toby’s Ironman and Devondale Iron Woman Competitions, Formula 1, Indy Car and 500cc Motorcycle events as well as the Association of Surfing Professionals, as well as "Baywatch", "Mission Impossible II", "Who Dares Wins" and numerous film and television productions.

    Immediate Assistants is also contracted to provide medical services to the Sydney Football Stadium, Sydney Cricket Ground and the Homebush Olympic venue, Stadium Australia.
